The T-34 1943 model 76mm main gun was found to be wanting when pitched against the new heavier German tanks appearing on the battlefield. The turret was therefore redesigned to carry the 85mm gun used on the SU-85 tank destroyer.
The model can be finished with opened or closed hatches.
