Plastic Tanks....

After a bit of research ( I asked Phil down the pub )  I am investigating remaking some of the popular vehicles in injection moulded plastic so you can have more tanks for your bucks. Watch this space. 1st contender is the Panther G followed by the Sherman M4A4

Wobbly Mast Syndrome

One of the pitfalls of casting white metal is that the fine masts on some of the smaller ships are prone to bending and breaking. To get over this we are producing a new mast set for the Caroline in photo etch brass . It will add cost to the kit but make it Zeppelin proof..

T 34 turret now available.

After many requests with can now offer just the turret of the T34 hard edge 1943 model. It was used on armoured trains, landing craft and can be used to represent emplaced T34's (cheaply) as used at the battle of Kursk.

Remakes in the Offing

Hi All

In a rush of blood to the head we have 3 remakes in the pipeline. Our best selling British tank the Cromwell has had a makeover and now sports a remade turret with opening hatchs. The T34/85 has had the same and a new gun and Sherman M4 Easy 8 a new turret , hull mods and opening hatchs to place your 1/144th Brad Pitt tank commander figure. At long last the Sd Kfz 251 B is complete and is off to the casters. ( Specially for Mr A Lough )

Stewart Griffin ....

We have just heard that Stewart Griffin of Griffin Moulds has passed away. As Stewart's casting shop  was our main supplier of vehicles it means that there will be some unavoidable delays in getting resupplied with stock. Will keep you posted. We all send our sincere condolences to Stewarts partner Jane.

Merry Xmas .....

Merry Xmas to all . Thanks for all your custom in 2014 and hopefully 2015 will bring lots of new models. Grandfleet Miniatures will be releasing 2 new battleships and flotillas of smaller craft. Arrowhead will be bringing out more Allied softskins along with a small range of RAF tanker vehicles. We should see the release of the much delayed Sd Kfz 251 B.

On a different note, the range has been counterfeited by another non UK company and the models copied in a resin compound. If you come across them please let me know ( they have been featuring on an online auction site ) and I can hopefully take steps against these jokers. To their credit E-Bay UK have barred the seller. The funny thing is that they are not even much cheaper than the originals.
